Life happens. Messy and beautiful, wondrous and heartbreaking-amazingly,  it just keeps happening.

When I started blogging at http://everydayjill.blog.com/ over four years ago, I was a married stay-at-home mom. I went to church every Sunday, sometimes twice just for good measure. I tried hard to be good for everything, good for everyone. I was a yes person, a people pleaser in the most extreme sense of the word. Blogging was better than therapy- I started to find my voice and my wings.

Life happened and I was no longer the married, stay-at-home mom. I was single and worked seven days a week. New life, new blog- http://everydayjillwentupthehill.blogspot.com/. My voice was in full force- probably pretty loud and annoying at times. My wings were ready and I left the nest without a glance back.

And life keeps happening. I've outgrown yet another blog. My voice is still loud and possibly grating to some. But age brings good things. Age brings wisdom and an ability to sit back and breathe. Age brings the ability to be grace even in the grey times. Age also brings permission to be authentic- no more people-pleaser here, friends. And most importantly, age brings a teenage daughter and a little old soul in a nine-year-old's shell.

And here we are. New blog, new eyes in an old old world. Follow me through the good, bad and the messy. I may write about money one day and raising a kinda-sorta vegetarian the next. Memories and hopes will probably raise their heads occasionally. And let's be honest, I'll probably still write lists because there is nothing that I love more than a proper list. Except possibly figs stuffed with goat cheese.

I digress.

Peace and love and mushy gushy stuff. XOXOXO
